We truly feel sorry for anyone that slipped into a coma watching this film in a theatre.

Based upon the true life Michael Oher from homeless high schooler to NFL great lineman (still playing) for the Baltimore Ravens, it is inspiring without any schlock.
Think of films like Little Miss Sunshine, Little Children and All the Beautiful Girls. Ok, right. You never saw those just like you probably missed this thru gem in the rough. You just can hardly tell someone the base plot of this movie and expect him or her to go watch it. I would liken it to the guy who had to sell the screenplay for Michael with John Travolta.
This movie has zero to do with New Orleans and even less to do with Hurricane Katrina or its effects.
If you like lots of sweat, blood and shooting and hot Brooklyn nights, this film foots the bill.
